Split Systems and Multi-Split Systems
Air Conditioners and heat pumps for commercial air conditioning application, for use mainly in small offices, hotels, shops, consulting and treatment rooms.
A typical system consists of an indoor unit mounted at high level on a wall, connected by two small copper pipes to a weatherproof outdoor unit, which can stand on the ground, on wall brackets, or on a flat roof or balcony. The indoor air conditioning unit comes with a hand held controller to adjust the temperature and fan speed. The systems will provide cooling and heating depending on the room condition and selected temperature.
Cassette Systems (back to top)
Air conditioning systems provide energy efficient heating and cooling. Each indoor unit is connected to an outdoor unit via interconnecting pipes and cables. The moisture taken out of the air is drained away either by gravity or a pump is fitted and the water is drained to a convenient outside drain. The most popular style of indoor units are the 4-way blow ceiling cassettes and the high level wall mounted consoles.
VRV Projects (back to top)
A VRV system would generally comprise of multiple indoor units linked to one large outdoor unit.
ISOFT chose Daikin's VRV system to provide cooling for their three floor office suite in Warrington, which is visible from the M6 motorway north of Thelwall viaduct.
The system comprised of six outdoor units and 35 indoor units, which were of a mixture of ceiling cassettes, high level wall mounted units and floor standing consoles.
Year round energy efficient cost savings will be made due to the inverter drive compressors on the outdoor VRV units. The inverter driven compressors ramp up and down with the modulating load therefore using less electricity than conventional spit systems that run fully loaded.
The whole installation was approved for Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA), which means the tax allowance is claimed back in year one rather than over 5years.
Ducting (back to top)
For large open plan areas a ducted system can provide a more cost effective approach. The unit would be located above the ceiling void and the air is then distributed through a series of insulated ductwork tubes, which are fitted to ceiling diffusers.
Cellar Cooling (back to top)
We provide cellar cooling systems usually for public houses or wine cellars. Qualitair systems are manufactured from robust stainless steel in order to contend with the harsh conditions of a cellar’s working environment. The controller for the system is fitted to the casework of the indoor unit and the outdoor condensing unit can be located up to 100m away, providing flexibility for almost any application. Coldrooms (back to top)
We can provide refrigeration systems for the food industry. Coldstores are built from foodsafe insulated panels with hinged or sliding doors. Dual discharge or draw through evaporators (fitted with electric defrost heaters) provide a uniformed temperature within the store. Conventional or low noise condensing units can be fitted on the cold room roof or external to the factory. A bespoke control panel, fitted with a digital display thermostat, can be located on the coldstore wall or within the plant room. Please contact us for further details.
